I started out as a bereavement counsellor with Cruse Bereavement Care and went on to do a Diploma and BA(Hons) in Person Centred Counselling at Metanoia Institute in London. I later went back to Metanoia and trained as a supervisior. I am also a Certified Advanced Practitioner in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, working with trauma, both recent and historical, PTSD and developmental trauma.
As well as my private practice I work in other settings with clients who have experienced domestic violence and sexually abuse whether recent assaults or childhood abuse. I also work at a University Counselling Service.
I have experience in working with clients from different religious and cultural backgrounds and being Swedish myself I, know how difficult it can be to express emotions in a foreign language.
I have also worked with relationship issues, anxiety, depression, low self esteem and I welcome clients to bring any issue and if I feel unable to help I will refer you to someone I believe can.
I am an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, BACP and adhere to their ethical framework. I am also a member of Metanoia Institute and the Sensorimotor Psychotherapy Institute (UK).
